  • Rabkin Prize 2025: Art Writers Announced

Rabkin Prize 2025: Art Writers AnnouncedThe 2025 Rabkin Prize winners are revealed, with 8 art writers receiving $50,000 each. The Rabkin Foundation supports arts reporting and writers, awarding nearly $4m since 2017.

In an interview with the Rabkin Structure’s executive director Mary Louise Schumacher, McDonnell claims: “People ask me occasionally, ‘If you weren’t doing this, who would do it for The Oklahoman?’ I do not know, I do not have a solution for you– the response is perhaps nobody.”

    Rabkin Foundation’s Impact

“It is a degree of validation that is sorely required as we are having national conversations about social objection, and exactly how it’s developing,” Martinez informs The Art Paper. “As budgets throughout the country for arts reporting dwindle, I always ask yourself exactly how the arts will remain to attract brand-new audiences. By sustaining writers straight, the Rabkin Structure is tackling that trouble from an one-of-a-kind angle, and motivating us to keep going.”

The Rabkin Prize is awarded by the Dorothea and Leo Rabkin Foundation, which is based in Rose city, Maine, and called for the namesake collection agency and artist pair. The jury for this year’s prizes included the New Yorker team author Hua Hsu; the writer and editor Joanne McNeil; and Jessica Bell Brown, a manager, art and writer chronicler that works as the executive director of the Institute for Contemporary Art at Virginia Republic College.

As it provided for the first time last year, the Rabkin Structure commissioned pictures of and carried out interviews with the winners, which will certainly be released on-line starting 10 September. With this most current associate of beneficiaries, the foundation has currently awarded virtually $4m since releasing the reward in 2017.
